My Mother's Legacy

Today marks fifteen years since my mom past away.  It was just a few days before my 10th birthday so I was super young.  The impact she left in my life still shows up on a daily basis.  She taught her kids to love God with all of our hearts, that He loves us no matter what mistakes we may make.  He loves us regardless of situations and trials in life.

I remember a couple months before she died, we had to tell her goodbye...being the optimistic and hardheaded little girl I am was, instead of saying goodbyes I told her she was going to be ok and get better!  Her reply to me was simply "God is in control". Wow. I have taken those words with me, GOD is in control no matter the situation. He knows what lies ahead and he has already handled it.  All I have to do is trust him. :) Thanks for the reminder mom!

As a mom myself, one of my biggest role models/ inspiration is MY mom.  Even though she isn't around to give me advice, etc. how she raised me is just enough.  From a very young age I was taught to love our Lord with all my little heart, thank him for all he has done for us and ask him for help when we need it. She would sing praises constantly even when she was really really sick. I can remember her sitting in the recliner having her quiet time every morning when I woke up...the list goes on and on and to think I just about 10 when she left us.  That's the kind of mom I strive to be.  I want my children to look back and remember how much I loved God and how kind I was. I also want my kiddos to love Him with all their hearts, I want them to meet their Grandma Tracy one day...I want to pass on my mom's legacy!

I am so thankful God chose Tracy Ann Miller to be my mom, and I am so thankful that God is in control! :)

So beautiful :)

Big Guys 18 month stats

Last week Miller had his 18 month check up.  He is a healthy and happy little man!  How blessed are we?! :) He weighs 31 lb and is the 98%...(the first time since forever he wasn't >98% lol) and is 33 1/2 inches tall that's in the 80% :) He has his daddy's head, it is 49 cm and is in the 90%.  He is a BIG guy and I wouldn't change a thing about him!

He has started to be a little toot at times and his newest thing is climbing out of his crib! eek We are in for it!  He will also skip naps regularly and will just hang out in the crib and jump or play. It makes for a much earlier bedtime because he usually naps for 2-3 hrs :/ My baby is not a baby anymore! Not sure where time goes...

Jonathan and I (well mostly I) ;) have been busy around the house...painting the kitchen cabinets and making little final touches in our bedroom. we have a love/hate relationship Pinterest! I get some awesome ideas and recipes but Jonathan says its too expensive :) I will post pictures of some of my projects soon, we are getting the hardware on the cabinets this weekend. Pictures will be posted...it has really made a difference in the house, can't wait to show y'all!

Miller's busy week

Last week was a busy one for Mr. Miller.  We went to Jonathan's flag football game, The Big Bounce, Chickfila and Emma Long Park.

The Big Bounce is an inflatable playground that is pretty cool! Miller is still a little young but he seemed to like to older kids section better than the toddler one.  He liked climbing the ladders and going down the fast slides, imagine that! ;)

He loved each place, but I believe Emma Long Park was his favorite! It is a park along Lake Austin and we met some friends there to fish and cookout. Miller ended swimming in his clothes after he fell in! haha He is our waterbug :)  There is a burn ban so we ended up fishing and checking out Nick's new kayak and eating after. It was a fun little outing!

We had a great week, here are a few pictures from our adventures...Enjoy!

Miller is 18 months!

I am going to give blogging another try.  Last time was a flop so we'll see how it goes :)

I'm not sure where time has gone?!  My sweet baby is now 18 months old.  He is such a sweet little guy and is ALWAYS on the move.  Miller loves to play outside and with his cars.  His favorite show is Mickey Mouse Clubhouse but he will settle for just about anything.  Finding Nemo is a current hit in the car and he lets us know he wants to watch it as soon as we get in! His newest "trick" is getting his guns up! We love our future Red Raider! What a blessing Miller is, we are so thankful for our busy little man :)
